Monthly Festivals and Special Puja Days at Mantralayam Temple Calendar

Mantralayam temple, located in Andhra Pradesh on the banks of the Tungabhadra River, is one of the most revered Madhwa Vaishnava shrines in South India. Sri Ramanavami in the month of Chaitra is observed with Ramayana parayana, special pujas to Lord Rama, and cultural programs. Hanuman Jayanti is marked with recitations of Hanuman Chalisa and special sevas. Krishna Janmashtami witnesses midnight abhisheka to Lord Krishna whose idol is enshrined within the temple complex. Navaratri spanning nine nights is celebrated with daily Durga puja, Saraswati puja, and cultural performances. The temple also observes monthly Sankranti transitions when the sun moves from one zodiac sign to another, performing special rituals on each Sankramana day.
